My birthday weekend was full of all the things birthdays should be full of: friends, adventuring, good food, and naps. Lauren & Ben flew out to visit us and it was SO FUN!

Restuarants we went to:

Takoba for a tequila flight & queso
Whislers for a fancy cocktail
Café Medici for fantastic coffee
Wright Bros Brew & Brew for...more fantastic coffee
BurnPizza + Bar for yummy thin crust pizza.

I also got to make myself a cake. I don't know at what point in life it started to get fun to make my own cake, but it has kind of turned into my gift to myself. It was a Hungarian nut cake (flourless but moist!) with this halva cream frosting. The whole thing was made with natural sweeteners and it was amazing! You seriously have to try the frosting... the tahini gave it a kind of peanut-buttery taste. I'll post a recipe for the cake later. Maybe.

I also got a sweet headlamp from Fleetwood and I've actually worn it every day since I got it. He's the best :) And i'm a dork. I see that.
