Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all
— Helen Keller

Hey there, I’m Molly Young. I’m a photographer living and working in Austin TX.

My name is Molly: like the drug, or like every dog you've ever met. But I am neither of those things, just a person. A few things about me: I am married to Fleetwood (will be 7 years this May). We have two black labs, Midna & Link. If you know, you know.

Our newest addition is Vesper. She’s a human, like me, and she’s perfect, unlike me. She’s our little bundle of joy and keeps us busy.

Fleet & I love living in Austin and we love our friends here. We are originally from the Chicago area, so the winters here are HEAVENLY. We also love our church, the Austin Stone, and exercising together at Camp Gladiator. I love running, knitting, drinking coffee that's probably a little too expensive, and being an annoying foodie. I also love Little Caesar's hot and ready pizzas, so I'm a huge poser. I'm an enneagram type 4 so I experience ALL the emotions and kind of like it. I also have a twin sister, Megan, who is a taller, cooler version of me. (She wouldn't take the enneagram after me asking her for about a year because "she's busy with kids and stuff" but I diagnosed her as a 3...actually this is not important).

I’ve been taking pictures for over 12 years, but I launched my photography business January 2020. I absolutely love being a photographer and getting to do my favorite hobby for a living.

I am so excited to share more of my life here on this blog. If you want to reach out to me, I would love that! You can email me at mollykateyoungphotographyatx@gmail.com or find me on Instagram: mollykate_young. I am so happy you are here!

FAQs

Best Time of Day for a session?
Early or late! (Sunrise & Sunset are my favs for the glowy light)

Do you have a studio?
Yes! Please make a note if you want any session done in the studio instead of outdoors!

What should we wear?
I’m happy to send you some inspo… but I think you shouldn’t stress about it! Solid colors tend to photograph better than patterns. Other than that- there are no rules!
